This is a quick look of the highest current APY rates I could find for fans of the 2 year CD. These rates were in effect in the first week of April. Joining this CU depends on where you work in the US. The website lists all the companies in the US that are members. Below is a list of the various lengths of investment for their CD rates. Obviously the highest is the 5 year, but even the 12 month rate is competitive in the current market.

Looking back on the past few weeks of bank rates we will cover CD rates from various banks from the last month. Remember that these rates are subject to change and are good as of 4/2/10.
Northstar Bank of course as of right now is providing a 1 year CD at 1.45% APY which is about average.
Visions FCU had a slightly better CD rates at 2.02% APY for 12 months. They are based in New [...]

Northstar bank has a decent 5 year rate which you may want to look at. The following list will provide Rates on CDs Current as of March 30, 2010 for shorter terms as well.
5 year = 2.75% APY
4 year = 2.50% APY
3 year = 2.10% APY
30 month = 2.00% APY
18 month = 1.60% APY
1 year = 1.45% APY
6 month = 1.10% APY
3 month = .75% APY
1 month = .40% APY

If you are living in New York and are looking for a good Credit Union to get a decent rate on a Regular or IRA CD, you should check out Visions Federal Credit Union.
5 year = 3.565 APY
3 1/2 year = 3.05% APY
2 /2 years to 41 Month = 2.28% APY

SmartyPig is Offering a 2.01% APY on Savings Accounts. SmartyPig is strictly online banking and is held by West Bank of Iowa. Although you can find them at smartypig.com, it is difficult to get the details at the website. If you live in or around Scottsdale, then you might want to check out Goldwater Bank which is offering a 2.86% APY on 5 Year CDs right now. You can see the rates below for other rates depending on the amount of time invested.
As of March 24, 2010, these CD rates are current. Minimum deposit is $50,000.
