SmartyPig is Offering a 2.01% APY on Savings Accounts. SmartyPig is strictly online banking and is held by West Bank of Iowa. If you live in or around Scottsdale, then you might want to check out Goldwater Bank which is offering a 2.86% APY on 5 Year CDs right now. You can see the rates below for other rates depending on the amount of time invested.
As of March 24, 2010, these CD rates are current. Minimum deposit is $50,000.

Recently a friend of mine made a bad investment in internet real estate which ended badly. For him it meant losing about $7000 dollars he never really had. Doral Bank Direct is Offering a simple 1.90% APY on their one year CD. This is not the best rate out there, but is pretty comparable to the rates we have seen currently with the market.

With the continued increase in bank defaults, bank with peace of mind through the Pentagon Federal Credit Union. Here are their latest rates on Money Market accounts. The 7 year looks the most attractive with the highest rate.
