The banking branch of AIG is about to blow you away with some of the best rates on money market accounts and savings accounts that you cannot find anywhere else. AIG offers tiered rates for customers, meaning the more money you deposit into the account, the higher rate of return you will receive. Here are some specifics of the AIG rates for money market accounts and savings accounts.</p>
<p>•	For account balances between $2,500 and $9,999, you can expect a .90 percent interest rate with an annual percentage rate (APY) of .90 percent.</p>
<p>•	For accounts that have between $10,000 and $49,999 in them, the rates jump up to 1.25 percent and the APY goes up to 1.26 percent. </p>
<p>•	Accounts with balanced between $50,000 and $99,999 get an interest rate return of 1.35 percent and an APY of 1.36 percent.</p>
<p>•	If you have a money market account through AIG with a balance between $100,000 and $249,999, you will get a rate of 1.40 percent and an APY of 1.41 percent.</p>
<p>•	Account balances with more than $250,000 receive a rate of 1.45 percent and an APY of 1.46 percent.</p>
<p>•	If you open a “Signature Money Market Account” through AIG, you are insured up to $250,000 for each account and each depositer by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). </p>
