If you are looking for a credit card with a basic rewards program, the Good Neighbor Visa Credit Card may be the one for you. Instead of awarding points, the Good Neighbor Visa credit card does something different. It helps you save money by getting discounts at the various merchants that Visa has a partnership with. Some of those merchants include ProFlowers, Barnes and Noble, New York and Company, Target.com, Ross and Simons, The Land of Nod, Sears, Kohl’s and even Ghiradelli. If you enjoy doing a lot of traveling, the Good Neighbor Visa credit card helps you save money at rental car agencies like Alamo, National Car Rental and Avis as well as popular tourist destinations like Planet Hollywood and more. There are even discounts available on cruise lines and various hotels across the country.

As for fees and rates, the Good Neighbor Visa credit card has an annual percentage rates that ranges between 3.99% and 10.99% in addition to the prime rate. As an introductory offer, you will receive 0% APR for the first nine months that you are an account holder. Depending on your credit history, you may also be eligible for a credit limit of up to $25,000. As a Good Neighbor Visa credit card customer, you may also receive a $250,000 automatic travel accident insurance policy for when you are away from home. Other benefits include online banking and zero liability on purchases that you did not authorize. That means if your Good Neighbor Visa credit card gets lost or stolen, you will not be responsible to repay the charges made as long as you report it in a timely manner.

When paying your balance, you have a 20-day grace period with the Good Neighbor Visa credit card. However, the balance is calculated as an average daily balance so the interest can add up rather quickly. There are no balance transfer fees so you can move money around onto your Good Neighbor Visa credit card without paying extra. Cash advance fees are a minimum of $5 or three percent of the cash advance. Late payments and over-the-limit fees are both $29.

The Good Neighbor Visa credit card is not much different than other cards that offer rewards. There are not many merchants that offer discounts with this card so it doesn’t have that going for it. However, since there are hardly any fees associated with having the Good Neighbor Visa credit card, it is a good thing to have in your wallet, especially if you frequent the list of merchants that offer discounts for Visa customers. You may also enjoy the fact that Visa is accepted worldwide so you should never have a problem paying for your merchandise or anything else when you are traveling abroad.

Check out the Good Neighbor Visa credit card if you are looking for a way to save on various merchants. Otherwise, move on to another rewards card that offers more for your troubles.

Zero balance transfer credit cards are ideal for people who want to transfer the balances of other cards onto their new credit card. With zero balance, you do not have to worry about the accruing interest as long as you keep up the minimum payments on your zero balance transfer credit cards. It is a great way to eliminate any high interest rate cards and balances that you currently have.

Many of the 0% balance transfer credit cards are promotional offers from the credit card companies. If you have good credit, you are more eligible to receive these offers and be approved for one of these cards. There are many companies out there willing to give you these 0% balance transfer credit cards. Here are some of the more popular credit card companies offering this type of deal.

    * The Citi Forward Card offers a 0% annual percentage rate for balance transfers for up to six months. In addition, you may also qualify 0% financing on purchases and a $100 sign-up bonus.
* Discover’s More Card is a 0% balance transfer credit card that is good for up to 12 months. There is also a one-time 3% transfer fee.
* The Chase Freedom Card is available for qualified customers and it offers 0% interest on balance transfers and on purchases for up to 12 months. You also get a $50 cash back offer following your first purchase with the card.
* Discover’s Escape Card has a 3% fee for balance transfers, but it offers 0% interest for six months on balance transfers and purchases.
* The Disney Rewards Visa Card from Chase is a popular option as a 0% balance transfer credit card. You get a $15 bonus just for signing up for the card and a 0% interest rate for a year. Purchases are also interest-free for a year and you can charge your Disney vacation packages at 0% interest for six months while building up cash rewards for Disney Dollars.

Before deciding on which 0% balance transfer credit cards are best for your financial needs, consider the fee that the company is going to charge you for the interest-free balance. In some cases, the 0% does not make up for the cost of the fee. For instance, if you are transferring a large amount to your 0% balance transfer credit cards, you could be paying more if the company charges you a 3% fee than you would be paying in interest for the first year on your card’s balance. However, if you can find a 0% balance card that does not charge a fee, you really have nothing to lose. Take out your calculator and do the homework before choosing the best 0% balance transfer credit cards for you so you can make the most informed decision about your finances.

If you are looking for a great card that offers cash rewards, look no further than the BankAmericard Cash Rewards Signature Card. Offered by Bank of America, this cash rewards card is designed for customers who have an impeccable credit history and need a credit card for their personal use. Depending on your actual credit score and your credit history, your annual percentage rate could differ, but the lowest APR for the BankAmericard Rewards Visa Signature Card is 9.99% and the highest percentage rate is 15.99%.

Currently, you may be eligible for a 0.00% introductory annual percentage rate which is good for the first six billing cycles. You can also transfer balances from other credit cards onto your BankAmericard Rewards Visa Signature Card and pay 0% interest for the first six months. Before signing up, though, check with the actual card issuer to ensure they are not charging a higher rate or fees for cash advances. The BankAmericard Rewards Visa Signature Card also has no annual fee.

Applicants with a FICO score of at least 795 are encouraged to apply for the BankAmericard Rewards Visa Signature Card because they will have a higher chance of getting approved for this cash rewards card. You can still apply if your FICO score is less than 795, but you get less favorable interest rates if you even get approved for the card. Be sure to compare credit cards from other companies willing to give you better interest rates if your score is under 700.

Following the initial six month interest-free period with the BankAmericard Rewards Visa Signature Card, you will get charged an annual percentage rate based on the agreement you have with the card issuer. However, you will not be charged interest on your balance for the first 20 days of the grace period during the billing cycle.

Since the BankAmericard Rewards Visa Signature Card has the Visa logo on it, you can use it anywhere in the world that takes Visa. There are very few places around the globe that do not take Visa, so you can be assured that you have spending power wherever you go.

When you apply for the BankAmericard Rewards Visa Signature Card, expect to wait about one to two weeks for approval. Once you are approved, it may take another week or two for your card to arrive in the mail. The approval rate for the card depends on your individual credit score. If it is above 795 or if you have “excellent credit,” you have a better chance of being approved. However, approval is no guarantee because there are other factors being considered when you apply.

Finally, Bank of America account holders get 50 percent more points with each purchase. The BankAmeriCard Rewards Visa Signature Card does not just award points on certain purchases – the bonus points are awarded on everything you buy.

Individuals with a bad credit history usually face a lot of trouble when applying for new credit cards. Banks are, understandably, hesitant to lease out new credit cards to clients who approach them with less than satisfactory credit history.

If you have suffered from this stigma and have managed to overcome your poor financial situation and made it a thing of the past but are yet unable to shake off the black mark that comes with being labeled a poor client, we suggest passing by the standard credit cards and applying for the bad credit credit cards that are specifically designed for customers with your situation.

Companies have begun to take out special cards that are aimed at clients with an unsatisfactory bank history- aimed at protecting the bank’s interests and giving clients a chance to improve their credit score. In this article we discuss some such special credit cards that are currently available in the market and their individual features.

1.Public Savings Secured Visa® Credit Card: The Public Savings Secured Visa Credit Card is a handy tool as it can be used by clients at almost any place where Visa cards are accepted- thus allowing you to have an easy access to practically any store, establishment and institution. The minimum deposit that is required to open up an account is only $200 and the account is registered with all major credit authorities which keep a track on your activity. This way, if you prove yourself to be a good client, you are given a chance to redeem your credit repute quickly.

The credit card is easy to apply for because it does not need the claimant to be gainfully employed and nor does it need any base credit. The credit card comes with an incentive of having no interest levied on any activity in the first 6 months. After this period is over the client has to pay an easily affordable interest rate. In case you default on the payment deadline you are given a time period of 25 days to cover the payment. One has to pay $79 right at the beginning while setting up the account but after this the bank does not charge any maintenance or rental fee.

2.Orchard Bank Classic MasterCard: these credit cards come in a variety of categories all aimed at different levels of defaulters and those with bad credit history. Depending on the kind of experience you have had in the past you can choose a credit card to match your needs. These cards are accepted almost everywhere across the globe and even offer clients the ability to make transactions online- a service that is generally denied to those with a bad credit repute. The company sends text messages and emails to clients in advance to inform them about upcoming payments and also to keep them abreast with the current status of their account activity. With annual fees that range between $39 and $79, no base credit required for starting up, a straightforward application process and a month’s grace period to meet payments, these credit cards are aimed at empowering the customer.

Getting stuck with a reputation for being a bad credit client can be a nightmare in the long run because every time you apply for a new bank account, a loan or a credit card your history will be pulled up and you will run the risk of being denied your application on the basis of a poor track record. While it is understandable that banks need to safeguard their interests against clients who are known to be defaulters, it is not a situation you necessarily need to live with. There are ways of improving your credit score and building your good reputation back with the banks and in this article we share with you some tips on what to do and not do to raise your credit score back to an optimum position.

Pay Up On Time: if you have amassed a bad reputation with credit card companies it is because you failed to pay your dues on time, or at all. To avoid adding to the bad score you must understand the necessity of being punctual this time around. If you become involved in more late payments or bankruptcies your credit score will be irrevocably damaged. To repair your bad credit you must begin by paying your credit card bills on time every month. If you have a bad score on a number of credit cards learn how to even out your debt and which company to pay how much per month to clear out all your accounts as soon as possible. If you are having trouble fixing out a payment schedule then consult an expert on how to manage your finances. Small expenses in the form of an expert’s fee will pay off a lot in the long run.

Change Credit Limits: the purpose of a credit limit is to ensure that you don’t spend beyond your means. If you feel that you run the risk of being tempted to use your card for more than you should then set a credit limit to control your spending and stay within it. This will show your credit card company that you are wise about your money and in control of your financial situation.

Keep a Check on Your Credit Report: many people forget to keep a track of their situation and don’t pay close attention to their credit reports like they should. To be able to manage your finances you need to know just where you stand with your finances and the only way you can do that is by carefully reading through your credit report every time you get it. If you are hesitant about your ability to understand and analyze the credit ratings you can read the manual that comes along with it and follow instructions or hire the services of somebody who can.

The Cash Back Credit Card series offered by Citi has yet another exciting offer for its clients- the Citi Cash Returns Credit Card. This new scheme is a step up from the Citi Dividend Card using which owners could receive rebates of 5% on purchases at the drugstores, at the supermarkets and at the gas stations along with being awarded rebates of 1% on other spending activity. The Citi Dividend Card experienced some problems in the market owing to the company being unable to make a profit on such extreme schemes and hence the rebates were lessened. The Citi Cash Returns Credit Card now replaces the Citi Dividend Card in the market with some new attractive features and some fundamental changes.

The fees structure followed for the Citi Cash Returns MasterCard includes a 0% APR balance transfer. This scheme can vary from 6 months to 12 months depending upon the kind of credit account you have. The Citi Cash Returns MasterCard comes with no fee being charged annually. However an overhead rate of 3% is levied for every balance transfer that you might choose to conduct.

The Citi Cash Returns Credit Card will give you a rebate of 1% on every transaction per dollar that you spend. Hence, for every one dollar you will collect a rebate of 1%. Since the rebates do not expire after a period of time you can continue to amass them with every subsequent transaction that you undertake. The company follows a system where once the credit card holder has collected $50 a check for the same is immediately made out to them. Convenience checks as well as cash advances will also have you receiving rebates, however these come with a downside- an interest is charged on these and in the long run this interest can pile up and prove to be a disadvantage rather than you benefiting from the rebates. The company also follows a scheme in their rebate system where users are awarded 5 Citi Dollars (the reward points) every time they make balance transfers worth $1,500.

Possibly the most attractive feature of Citi credit cards is the Citi Bonus Cash Center. The Citi Bonus Cash Center is a program that is conducted in affiliation with approximately 400 market brands and merchants. According to the scheme, when a user shops on the World Wide Web, in offline markets, orders goods via catalogs or purchases gift cards from any of the names listed in the Bonus Cash Center program, he or she stands to win supplementary cash rebates on the transactions. According to the statistics propagated by the Citi group, users of the Citi Cash Returns Credit Card stand to gain 5% extra in cash rebates by using the Citi Bonus Cash Center feature.

Even though the card does offer some appealing features and the 1% rebate per dollar, in the long haul it is more advisable to use it in addition to a main credit card. The Citi Cash Returns Credit Card is thus better suited to be an additional card and not a regular one since it doesn’t offer any competitive edge in the market.
